This cute cafe bookstore in Columbia was designed by Plasma Nodo for people to come to read, socialize and sip on a cup of coffee. The modern space is almost like a playroom, with hexagonal cutouts in the walls, padded with cushions for people, both young and old, to lie in. The atmosphere is one that is about community and sharing, and houses many first friendships and conversations.
The cafe bookstore has two floors, with 1,300 square feet and multiple rooms featuring various looks. Bookcases reach to the ceiling while chairs have upholstery with maps of the world to inspire. There is a mix of seating to choose from with both private and shared tables. With walls covered in leaf designs and stylish homey sofas, this space acts as a comforting community hub.
