Burly Bears is an NFT project that's on a mission to "eliminate the stigma that NFTs are a net-negative for the environment." Created by artist Diablo, the hand-drawn digital artwork series features 6,601 bears that have been generated to represent six endangered species.
Of eight species of bears in the world, six are endangered, including the Gobi, Spirit, Sun, Panda, Spectacled and Polar bears. 20% of all Burly Bear sales will go towards supporting a public charity wallet of six identified charities, each of which is devoted to saving one of the six species. A portion of the proceeds from secondary sales will also be donated, continuing to helo protect the bears.
After claiming a bear, an owner will have the chance to get rewarded after completing a "hibernation period" by holding a Burly Bear NFT for 10 days after the Public Sale.
