The Bugatti Chiron Sport is an ultra-luxury performance car that is placing a bigger emphasis on handling rather than pure speed. The Chrion Sport features the same 1,500 horsepower as its non-sport counterpart and utilizes the same 16-cylinder engine and four turbochargers. Where the Chiron Sport differs is on tighter suspension and a reduction of 40 pounds of weight. The improved suspension and loss of weight gives the Bugatti Chiron Sport significantly faster lap times and provides a more emotional experience for the driver.
The drop in weight comes from an improved construction, as the Bugatti Chiron Sport features even more carbon fiber. Much of the body has been rebuilt using the material, including the windshield wipers. The new wipers have been redesigned to eliminate the articulated joint, saving weight on the vehicle and making it more aerodynamic. While the vehicle boasts incredible performance, it also comes with a hefty price tag—coming in at roughly $3.4 million, the Bugatti Chiron Sport is $400,000 more than its non-sport counterpart.
