Exoskeleton-Free Hypercar Designs

The Bugatti Bolide Achieves Over 310mph on the Track

The Bugatti Bolide hypercar is a stripped down racing vehicle that puts an unexpected aesthetic in the spotlight that's capable of breakneck speeds, while still meeting stringent race requirements.

The vehicle is constructed without an exoskeleton to have it appear much differently from other models on the racetrack yet features an A pillar that's still rated to survive 7.5-tons of force. The vehicle is rated to achieve well over 310mph on the track thanks to a power-to-weight ratio of 0.67-horsepower per pound with a total weight of 2,734-pounds.

The Bugatti Bolide hypercar has been put through computer simulations on the legendary Nürburgring racetrack where it achieved a best lap time just four-seconds shy of the current record.
