South Korean researchers are developing a breath-freshening apple designed to get people to eat more fruit. The breath-freshening apples have been dubbed "Kiss Apples" and each will be about the size of a ping pong ball.
If the South Koreans put the department of Rural Development Administration on the task of developing a breath-freshening apple, then you know they mean serious business. While the approach is rather unorthodox, I like how it is rooted in getting people to eat healthier. I eat as many apples as anyone I know, but even I would up my intake if I could fit multiple apples in my pocket and if they freshened my breath. Unfortunately, there's no set time for this project's completion, which means that you will have to continue pounding apple-flavored mints for the time being.
