'Ascent' is the name of designer Brad Ascalon's latest modular seating collection that is designed for use in public spaces. Fusing comfort with convenience, the furniture range is designed for Swedish retailer Mitab and includes two sizes -- two-piece and four-piece units that feature a boxy wooden base and felt seats.
In addition to their sleek aesthetic and comfortable chair inserts, Brad Ascalon's Ascent seats are also equipped with a built-in power source, making them ideal for charging devices for users on the go. Whether implemented in hospitals, hotel lobbies, or airports, this modular seating solution is designed with practicality in mind.
Each unit is strategically spaced out to feature flat surfaces between seats which can be used to rest one's belongings, or hand-held items like a cup of coffee. Overall, the furniture concept offers an efficient design that takes up as little space as possible without sacrificing comfort.
