The 'Teeny Box' is a Prefabricated Space Made from Reclaimed Materials

— September 7, 2015 — Art & Design
With the intention of building a living space that is both easy, sustainable and affordable, this line of box homes offers an environmentally friendly and comfortable solution.

The 'Teeny Box' is a prefabricated portable box home created by UK interior design firm Bert & May Group in collaboration with architecture and design studio Box 9 Design. Made from re-claimed and low maintenance materials, like blackened timber and chevron tiles, these custom box homes are built to age naturally over time. They also feature warehouse-style windows and doors to allow for natural light and ventilation to enter the box cabin as well.

Made to function as a comfortable garden shed or miniature office, the 'Teeny Box' also comes fully equipped with low-energy lighting and appliances, and also feature an organic green roof that helps catch rainwater and insulate the space.
