The Botafogo Beach Fish Sculpture will conjure up thoughts of long-gone mythological marine creatures that used to roam the seas before the human species was born. A large scale creation, it is completely constructed out of plastic bottles, making it a giant eco-friendly work of art.
Created as part of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development, also known as Rio+20, the Botafogo Beach Fish Sculpture is located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Vibrantly illuminated from within, it provides a striking ambiant light during the nighttime. Mesmerizing both during the day and after dark, it is a beautiful tribute to marine life.
