The Bosch VisionX Sets a Precedent for Trucks of the Future

German truck and auto parts manufacturer Bosch has a grand vision for the future of trucks as elicited in the Bosch VisionX concept. Set to be displayed at the 66th IAA Motor Show for commercial vehicles in Hannover, Germany, the truck is packed full of features that might one day be commonplace.

One of the biggest developments that the Bosch VisionX offers is visibility. Trucks are the biggest vehicles on the road, and that size limits drivers' ability to see the entirety of the highways and roads that they traverse. The VisionX will incorporate digital side-view mirrors and an innovative 'neoSense' haptic touchscreen to give truckers a complete understanding of their surroundings.

Since the Bosch VisionX is only a concept, with no plans to bring it into production, its features are a just vision of the future, as the name suggests.
