Although nothing can beat the smell of cinnamon and sugar baking in a warm oven, these blueberry cinnamon rolls are a fruity twist on this baked classic. The blueberries without a doubt add a burst of color and not to mention flavor to these toasty buns.
The recipe starts off similar to the classic dessert, which requires you to prep your dough and roll it out onto a surface. A healthy spoonful of blueberry filling is spread onto the pastry, then rolled into that recongizable pinwheel shape. Pop these buns into a deep baking pan and let the dough and fruit melt into one another.
Adding a little fruit into any dessert makes you feel a little less guilty about indulging once in a while. These blueberry cinnamon rolls are just as good, if not better, than the classic spiced dessert.
