Movie-Inspired Milkshakes

Japan Has Created a New Blue Lemonade Milkshake Inspired by ‘The R

On July 27th, visitors at the food chain Lotteria in Japan will be able to try the new blue lemonade milkshake inspired by ‘The Ring.’

Although there is an American version of ‘The Ring’ where the girl’s name is Samara, this drink was made with the Japanese version in mind where the girl’s name is Sadako. The creators chose the light blue shade to resemble the Sadako’s dress. To attract people to try this drink (if curiosity hasn’t already gotten the best of them) the drink was created with a layer of chocolate sauce—something most people can’t resist. The design of the chocolate sauce is made to look like Sadako’s long, creepy hair that people probably had nightmares about.

The reason behind this drink is not just to scare people; on August 30th, the 3D release of ‘Sadako’ in Japan will be released -- I wonder if people will be able to drink the milkshake after watching.
