Inspired by melting ice floes is this frozen-yoghurt and pancake shop in Jakarta called Blu Apple.
Blu Apple houses a bar, seating area and storage. Suspended from the ceiling are back-lit ceiling slabs. A rounded motif appears to pull the beautiful space together and the furniture is all white at Blu Apple.
Located in Indonesia, and created by Indonesian architects Budi Pradono, Blu Apple is scheduled to open next month.
Implications - As world populations continue to urbanize, consumers in today's society are becoming more and more disconnected with nature and the environment. Businesses that can transform an interior space like a retail store or restaurant into one that embodies eco traits or characteristics, will appeal to the large number of consumers seeking to restore that loss connection. Businesses that work to provide similar or comparable experiences will see big returns in today's industry.
