Jamie Proud of The Pound was named the winner of the inaugural Good Living Brewing Company Dry January Cocktail Competition, which challenged bars across England to create no- and low-alcohol cocktails. For the contest, bars were tasked with using at least 100 milliliters of Good Living Brewing’s 0.5% ABV Binary Botanical.
The creation that came out on top is Proud's Binary Reboot, which reinterprets the Bloody Mary with the low-alcohol product. The cocktail recipe also calls for tomato juice, asparagus and red onion syrup, rosemary and thyme salt, Tabasco and Seedlip Spiced, plus a few other flavorful additions.
As Proud describes, "I believe, as the days go by more people want no/low alcohol drinks. and on our next menu we are looking to have more options for that reason.”
