Tech brand Samsung is tapping into model Instagram culture with its latest mobile adds promoting the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ with supermodels Bella Hadid and Xiao Wen. The ad cleverly showcase on the models posing with the smart devices rather than fashion accessories or garments.
While Hadid and Wen are most recognizable for their fashion covers, shoots and product placements, Samsung is bringing the girls into the tech world. The lookbook for the new Galaxy products showcase the models dressed in short blonde wings, heavy eyeliner and boldly colored garments posing artfully with the mobile devices.
This is a smart move for Samsung as they leverage the rise of models famed for their Instagram accounts by having them star in ads alongside the brand's tech products.
