The Beijing Daxing Airport Was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects

Zaha Hadid Architects recently partnered with the French Engineering company ADP Ingénierie in order to complete its Beijing Daxing Airport project. Beijing Daxing Airport takes on a star shape with six points, measuring in at over 700,000 square meters. The new airport will be the second in the city of Beijing.

The Beijing Daxing Airport is now open to travelers, and it is estimated to have over 45 million people pass through the airport his year. Projections for 2025 have an estimated 72 million people going through the new airport.

Zaha Hadid Architects designed the airport to create a central location that connects several different others, which follows traditional Chinese architecture. The airport was also designed to improve efficiency for travelers.
