Four-Legged Desk Lamps

The Bean Lamp by Hazel Villena Uses Sculptural Legs as Structure

The Bean Lamp by Hazel Villena is a limited-edition desk light designed as a creature-like object, where four curved legs support a suspended disc of light. Instead of starting from a traditional lamp typology, the design begins with an animal-like form and resolves function around it. The legs are not decorative but structural, holding the lighting element in place while creating a low, wide stance that reads closer to a living figure than a static object.

The body is cast in copper with a chrome finish, paired with a polished aluminum joint that connects to a matte polycarbonate diffuser housing the LED. The lamp measures approximately 10.5 inches long and 4.5 inches tall, keeping it compact while maintaining a strong visual presence.
