During quarantine, people have been making the most of co-watching tools to experience entertainment together and BBC is now introducing a tool of its own called BBC Together. With BBC Together, users who are physically apart can enjoy listening or watching the same content on their respective screens at the same time.
With the service, a user can create a new group and consume content from the BBC iPlayer, BBC Sounds, BBC News, BBC Sport and more. As the host of a session, that user will be responsible for playing, pausing, discovering and choosing content for all who have access to the unique group link. While co-watching or listening, small groups can enjoy being able to text or chat with others via audio and video.
