The Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke Kentucky straight bourbon whiskeys a new offering form the small-batch distillery that aims to offer consumers a spirit to enjoy that is focused on incorporating smokiness more deeply into the flavor experience.
The spirit is aged in a secondary charred oak barrel that has been gently pumped with smoke from hickory chips to help impart its impressively smoky profile. This is done over the course of six-months and was created by eighth-generation distiller Freddie Noe whose grandfather started the distillery back in 1992.
The Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey is priced at $50 per 750ml bottle, but is a limited-edition offering that will only be available for a short while.
