It is largely more common for men's products to be labeled much more modestly than women's. The tactic behind Bandito packaging is thus rather unusual, but certainly not in danger of being less successful. Instead of employing minimalist graphic design to mark the range of bath and shower goods, Oleg Ivanov opted to introduce personality with a powerful theme.
Admitting he might watch gangster movies fairly frequently, the designer was certainly inspired by the suave, bold, brave, and no-bull qualities of the villainous characters. For many, these men are the ultimate symbols of masculinity, and therefore quite a good fit for transforming the delicate idea of soaps, bath salts and lotion. Bandito packaging is full of attitude and features a different criminal persona on each label.
