Now, pop group Airspoken is helping fans enjoy and share their love of the band's music by integrating NFC tags into apparel and accessories.
With the wave of an NFC-enabled device, fans are able to access everything from videos and songs to other content using technology from Innercell. To engage fans, pieces of band merchandise like shirts include details that encourage them to "tap" the hot spot on the left sleeve of the garment to activate content from the brand.
Since the way youth consume music has dramatically changed over the last decade, musicians rely on merchandise as a revenue stream—but these NFC-embedded products have the potential to change the way fans access and share music.
