FC St. Gallen 1879's Digital Sports Scarf Permits Entry to the Stadium

FC St. Gallen 1879, the Swiss professional football club based in the city of St. Gallen, introduced a special sports scarf gift as part of its annual subscription campaign. In 2023, all season subscribers will get a digital fan scarf that contains an NFC chip from CollectID, which will permit entry into the stadium on match day. Rather than using a digital or a physical season ticket to enter the stadium, fans can simply scan the NFC-enabled scarf instead.

After they've purchased their season ticket, fans can activate the scarf's NFC chip and digitally register their ownership via their mobile device.

Beyond permitting entry at the stadium turnstiles, this smart scarf will keep fans in the loop when it comes to special editorial content or launch competitions.
