The Band Aid Muppet App is another ingenious way the first-aid company is promoting its kid-friendly brand.
The playful app works with a special edition set of bandages featuring famously loved characters from The Muppets. After a child has placed their Band-Aid on their cut, they can then scan the image of the band-aid with their parent’s iPad or iPhone. Once scanned, the app provides a corresponding game to match the child’s band-aid. Miss Piggy’s game includes taking pictures, while the Grover game is all about shaking things up. Tech savvy and interactive, this is a really cutting-edge way to reach out to a very young demographic.
An awesome diversion for injured children, this is a fantastic way to promote the brand’s line of children’s products, and integrating tried-and-true characters was a key move for Band-Aid.
