Handcrafted creations are quite a piece of work, but when done with tiny strips of paper like the 'Babushka' Series by Yulia Brodskaya, these designs are taken to the next level. She has perfected the art of paper quilling, and it's hard to believe these images were all put together by hand.
Yulia Brodskaya was born in Russia and was always interested in art, origami and other fine arts. She intertwined her love for paper and handmade craft items, as demonstrated by this series. The Babushka series involves the art of paper quilling, where colored strips of paper have been rolled together and glued to the base paper.
Not only is this technique hard (I have tried it), but the ability to also express emotions through this art is quite the feat, and Brodskaya impressively achieves this feat.
