This Axe Super Bowl Ad Puts Astronauts Over Everything

Astronauts reign supreme in this Axe Super Bowl ad was set to debut on Super Bowl Sunday in the third quarter.

Like many Super Bowl commercials nowadays, the ad was released online beforehand and like many Axe commercials, this ad has a funny trick up its sleeve near the end.

A shark attack occurs on a beach so the brave, handsome lifeguard goes running into the ocean. He actually punches the shark until it swims away and he walks back to the shore holding the beautiful woman in his arms. As heroically as it gets, he gazes into her eyes. However, right before the moment of truth, her focus shifts and a ridiculously out of place astronaut comes walking towards her.

This ad is for Axe Apollo and is downright ridiculous, but that's the point. Axe continues to throw audiences for a loop with its wacky, off the wall advertising choices.
