Ehang is an autonomous flying company that is based out of China that was originally launched in 2014, and it will soon have an initial public offering. To begin its move to become a publicly-traded company, it filed documents with US securities and Exchange Commission to offer $100 million of shares.
Ehang is looking to create the first-ever autonomous flying taxi service using drones. The drone is titled the 'Ehang 216,' and it has 16 different rotors and can fit two people. The company has showcased the Ehang 216's abilities during test flights with autonomous technologies. Recently, the company was approved by the Chinese government to create an autonomous flying service in Guangzhou. The new service will begin initially in a test phase.
