BYD and DJI Partnered to Put Drone Tech on Vehicles

— March 11, 2025 — Autos
BYD and DJI have announced a partnership that will see the Chinese electric vehicle brand incorporating the drone manufacturer's technology onto vehicles. The partnership has seen the Lingyuan system created and available in China where drivers can incorporate it onto the roof of their vehicle to capture aerial footage when filming on the road. The system can be activated with a touchscreen button, which will prompt a series of doors up top to open and reveal a drone launch pad that will accommodate launches when driving.

The BYD and DJI partnership identifies a significant step forward when it comes to merging automotive technology with aerial technology. The system is exclusively available in China for the time being.
