ModiFace's recently updated Virtual Nail Salon now gives app users the ability to see photo-realistic, augmented reality nail polish shade simulations.
Over the years, many virtual and augmented beauty apps have been launched but this new tool from ModiFace sets itself apart for its realism and advanced finger-tracking technology, which displays colors on nails in real-time. In the same way that one would inspect a freshly painted manicure by bending the fingers, flipping the palm over or looking closely at each nail, the app tracks a wide range of hand motions and positions with great accuracy.
Due to the fact that the Virtual Nail Salon app makes the most of Apple's Core ML toolkit for AI, it is currently an iOS-only release.
