The World's First Augmented Reality Fashion Show Debuts On the Internet

After Theater Products was forced to cancel their fashion presentation due to the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, the design studio teamed up with the digital artists at AR Sankyodai to create the world's first augmented reality fashion show.

Called the Housing Collection, the show first required audience members to download and print out a poster sheet that contains the layout of a modern house. By pointing your webcam at the simple sheet, the augmented reality fashion show will play out on your screen! A miniature woman will climb from her virtual bed, dress herself and showcase the collection's outfits while conducting everyday household tasks.

The Housing Collection introduces an intriguing alternative to those who can't attend the high-social events of runway premieres. Why not just watch the show at home and in 3D?
