Most people run for their own self-improvement, but with the 'Atlas Run' app, running can be just as magnanimous as it is personally fulfilling. The app allows runners to contribute to non-profit charitable organizations simply by putting down mileage, so going on one's normal workout turns into an act of giving.
Atlas Run works by matching up runners with corporate sponsors. In exchange for repping those sponsors through the Atlas Run app, the sponsors donate anywhere between 25 cents to $1 per mile to charities like Social Advocates for Youth. The donation amounts get set in accordance with fundraising goals across the entire app, gamifying the process of running for charity and encouraging users to run as far as possible.
Not only does Atlas Run make for healthier and fitter people, but it gives a great opportunity for people to do good in the world.
