Atelier Van Lieshout Creates a Compact Bomb Shelter

— December 19, 2010 — Art & Design
Dutch design studio Atelier Van Lieshout definitely knows how to extend beyond what's aesthetically pleasing and into the tools of survival. This baby-sized bomb shelter is allegedly "indestructible," as it's made entirely out of armor.

This mobile pod boasts the luxurious interior of a wooden bench, toilet and stove. Though it may not be a marvelously comfortable space, it will serve its purpose if need be. Check out what Atelier Van Lieshout can do in the gallery.
