What Unistudio Design has done with the Atelier 27 project for Eram is revolutionary for the footwear business –– and beyond that too, quite frankly. What the agency has done is develop a means for consumers to design and 3D print unique stiletto heels for their pumps, enabling them to jazz up a pair of bland-looking party shoes, or to replace a broken or scuffed heel with something a whole lot more exciting.
Consumers are able to visit the store to create their custom high heels' accessories on the spot and in a matter of minutes. Shoppers can take part in the production process and witness it from start to finish, giving them the knowledge and insight to better appreciate the product itself. Atelier 27 affords fashionistas some unexpected fun and creative ownership in the very pieces that they wear.
