The Astrea Water Bottle Addresses Rising Lead Levels in Water

Personal water bottles are all the rage right now, but few are as incredible as the water-filtering 'astrea' water bottle. Launching on Indiegogo in March, the astrea water bottle claims to be the “most effective daily-use filtering water bottle,” in an attempt to address the alarming amount of lead found in U.S. water systems. The focus of the filtration system is on lead and astrea claims that its new water bottle will remove lead to the highest standard set by the National Sanitation Foundation.

The filtering technology behind the astrea water bottle is proprietary and is built into the bottle. The bottle itself is constructed from food-grade stainless steel and features double walls and vacuum insulation—all these features contribute to a rugged construction for the bottle and ensure that all beverages will remain at the desired temperature for extended periods of time.

The filter in the astrea water bottle can be replaced, as astrea will be offering new filters via a subscription package.
