Israeli designer Asaf Weinbroom has created a cute collection of whimsical wooden desk lights for the 'Fervency' exhibit at Jerusalem Design Week.

Weinbroom's handcrafted lamps comprise four different styles, all of which provide an interesting play on the combination of material and mechanism. For example, the 'Giben' lamp is designed with a flat middle stick, which features an axe and wooden disk on each end, allowing the lamp to be adjusted in different directions. In contrast, the 'Corian Bra' lamp is designed with copper arms and a clamp that can be attached to a work surface.

According to Asaf Weinbroom, his series tests and experiments with "technologies, mechanisms and surprising combinations between wood and various materials."
