When looking at artist Rachel de Joode's work, I'm sure that many people would be lost for words. Seemingly random piles of ordinary objects fill her artistic creations.
Artist Rachel de Joode states "my artisitic intention is to decipher human existence through sculpture, installation, performance, and still life/mise en scène photography." After a quote like that, it is a little easier to understand where she is coming from in her artworks!
Implications - Up-cycling continues to be a great way for contemporary companies to show off their recycling practices and support of eco-initiatives. Just as artist Rachel de Joode gives ordinary objects new purpose, companies can also up-cycle to create their products and appeal to those eco-friendly consumers.
