Laura McQuarrie — December 6, 2019 — Tech
The newest update to the Apple Clips app turns the free video creation tool for iPhone and iPad into a way to have fun with Memoji and Animoji characters. Thanks to the update, users can share personal video messages, slideshows, school projects and short movies with animated stickers and emojis that follow the user's face when recorded in the front-facing camera.
Users are also able to enhance Memoji and Animoji characters with filters, animated text, music, stickers and more. To make the editing process as easy as possible, customized characters automatically appear in Clips and Animoji characters can be changed even after a video has been recorded.
Just in time for the arrival of the holiday season, the Apple Clips app also introduces a brand-new winter-themed poster.
