The Anthony Bourdain Legacy Scholarship Helps Young Chefs

In honor of the late chef and television host Anthony Bourdain, fellow chefs Eric Ripert and José Andrés have teamed up to launch the Anthony Bourdain Legacy Scholarship. Created "in the spirit of Bourdain himself," the scholarship will help a budding young chef to travel and study abroad.

As of right now Ripert and Andrés are raising funds for the new Anthony Bourdain Legacy Scholarship. The hope is to launch the program by the Winter 2020 semester for one lucky Culinary Institute of America (CIA) student. As CIA president Dr. Tim Ryan explains, Bourdain often came to the school to school to speak about his experiences, "It is therefore fitting that his memory is being honored at the CIA through a scholarship for students interested in experiencing cuisines and cultures around the globe."
