The Antao Earth collection expands Villeroy & Boch's bathroom range with surface-mounted washbasins featuring hand-applied Artisan Glaze finishes. Designed by Cologne studio KaschKasch, the basins adopt soft dewdrop-inspired forms paired with a glazing technique developed alongside the brand's ceramics laboratory in Mettlach, Germany. Each glaze is applied by hand to create subtle variations in colour, texture and surface character while maintaining the durability required for everyday bathroom use. The collection is available in three nature-inspired finishes: Sand, Terra and Smoke.
The sculptural basins are designed to coordinate with fittings and furniture from the wider Antao collection, allowing different elements to be combined within a unified bathroom scheme. Their rounded geometry emphasizes smooth, continuous curves, while the handcrafted glazing process gives every basin an individual appearance. The production method balances tactile surface qualities with controlled ceramic manufacturing
