Microsoft’s new anime-inspired ad for Internet Explorer 11 is bold, exciting and beautifully rendered.

The two-minute commercial incorporates many themes and tropes found in anime to create a fast-paced and creative ad for its updated Internet Explorer program. There are giant mechs, a robot army, Inori Aizawa, a magical girl who is a personification of Internet Explorer and a thrilling action-packed fight sequence set to energetic electronic music. All of this is compounded with a clever twist at the end of the commercial.

Microsoft’s anime-inspired ad is is extremely memorable and nostalgic for both current fans of anime and people who grew watching it as young children. This anime-inspired ad will most certainly grab the attention of the younger generation of Internet users and pique their curiosity.
