The Andre Chenier opera stage is a completely unique construct that will surely draw a huge audience, even if one could never be sure whether the success of this opera is due to the show itself or the stage on which it takes place.

Unfortunately, there is not much information about the Andre Chenier opera stage. Photographed as part of the Wall Street Journal's photos of the day, it has taken the Web by storm. Not only is it a floating stage, it's one that takes the form of a giant man's torso.

Both creepy and incredible, the Andre Chenier opera stage is located in Austria's Lake Constance, which lies near the city of near Bregenz. It's set to be complete in time for the production's premiere in July 2011.
