These pieces from Kristin Kaplowitz are amazing, and even more so if you consider that all of these are made using only colored pencils and Sharpie markers.
The standout piece for me is the broken heart; it looks so realistic that you might at first be fooled into thinking it is a photograph. It's also a great concept to boot.
Implications - The latest computer programs turn almost anyone into an artist, which has pushed professional artists back into an analog form of expression. Using traditional materials such as pen, pencil and paper, artists are creating more realistic works of art than ever before, adding gritty details that showcase their talent and raw emotion.
