The Amazon Snowball is a tangible data storage solution that makes it easy and safe to transport large amounts of data without the fear of any of it being lost or compromised in any way because of physical damage.
Now it may seem odd that anyone would want to transform large amounts of data physically when you can just do it through the cloud, but lots of big businesses ship data in physical packages because it's often faster to send a courier package than to wait several days for a gigantic upload to finish -- we're not talking a small photo album but databases of business information and the like.
