Rough Putty-Like Seating

The Amateur Masters Chair by Jerszy Seymour Looks Colorfully Unfinished

The Amateur Masters Chair looks like it was roughly made out of putty. The surface of the seat is textured just like this artistic material. Considering that the title of the design has 'amateur' in it, the rough nature of the chair can be explained away by the level of expertise of the designer.

Nevertheless, the Amateur Masters Chair was created by Berlin-born and based industrial designer Jerszy Seymour makes that assumption moot. A talented force to be reckoned with in the furniture industry, Seymour purposely made the Amateur Masters Chair look unfinished. Designed for Ngispen, he took a classic form and reimagined it using a hand-molded production technique and polycaprolactone wax, which is strong and 100% biodegradable.
