The A-Lounge by Assembly, an American design studio founded by Pete Oyler and Nora Mattingly, is a piece of furniture that will satisfy everyone's inner bohemian spirit. It is a like a sofa substitute for the floor. In place of the traditional legs and cushions, it rests right on the ground. But instead of forcing people to recline back on their forearms, the A-Lounge by Assembly supplies a comfy backrest in the form of a large upholstered wedge.
Made up of three parts, the A-Lounge by Assembly also comes with a quilted camelhair cushion filled with buckwheat hulls and a natural sheepskin throw. Created in collaboration with Misha Kahn, the seat might not be made for everyone, but it will certainly bring a new appreciation to the floor.
