Jason Ju Designs the Sundae Modular Lounge for DesignByThem

— June 17, 2025 — Art & Design
Australian designer Jason Ju works with DesignByThem on the Sundae Modular Lounge seating system which is comprised of rounded marshmallow-like components. It boasts a bulbous design and applies to the adaptable seating range made up of its own modules. The system is crafted from commercial-grade materials with its high-resilience foam and the FSC-certified plywood -- both of these ensure that the seating would be suitable for contract environments as well.

It comes in a selection of four preset configurations. Ju talks about the chair's design concept, noting "Sundae was all about designing comfort into the aesthetic, to create a range that immediately comes across as welcoming and calming but built internally to withstand both commercial spaces as well as living rooms."
