The OSOLO turns sitting into a ritual of stillness and connection by rethinking traditional seating to prioritise presence, posture and shared gathering in contemporary interiors shaped by constant stimulation. Designed by Gökçe Nafak, OSOLO is not a conventional chair but a low-profile seating platform rooted in Japanese spatial philosophy and Turkish communal traditions, encouraging a slower way of occupying space that foregrounds awareness rather than passive use.

The platform’s geometry is restrained and open, allowing architecture, light and human presence to define experience without asserting visual dominance. Its form suits cross-legged and floor-level sitting, supporting balanced pelvic alignment and encouraging active posture over slouching or passive leaning. Beneath the seating surface, hidden storage reinterprets the traditional cultural chest, integrating utility without interrupting the platform’s minimalist identity.
