All Things Must Pass is a brilliant idea for a documentary about the rise and fall of Tower Records. For those unfamiliar, Tower Records was a pre-digital institution for purchasing music. With the emergence of iTunes and Amazon in the wake of Napster changing the entire industry, Tower Records was forced to close its doors.

All Things Must Pass is a project that was launched on the Kickstarter website by Colin Hanks (Tom Hanks' son). From watching the pitch it seems highly likely that the final result will be a nostalgic one. All Things Must Pass marks the end of era for a store but also for the acquisition of a tangible object.
