Rui Hachimura Honors his Heritage with a Pair of Air Jordan 34s

NBA athlete Rui Hachimura celebrates his diverse cultural heritage with a pair of the iconic Air Jordan 34 sneaker model. Washington Wizards' Hachimura is the youngest member to work with Jordan Brand and the inaugural Japanese-born player to be drafted in the first round.

He celebrates Japan on the right foot of the sneaker and his African roots from Benin on the left foot of the sneaker. The right shoe comes in pink and light blue prints that are accompanied by cherry blossoms and clouds inspired by Makiko, Hachimura's Japanese mother. The other foot celebrates his father, Zakari Jabil with vibrant patterning and colors. The split design captures the athlete's mixed heritage and celebrates the diversity.
