Reused Skyscraper Furniture Capsules

Niceworkshop Creates the Aged Form Line and New Form Line

Design studio Niceworkshop creates two new series dubbed the Aged Form Line and the New Form Line for recycling imprint Format. It is crafted from aluminum formwork that is used for pouring concrete on large-sized buildings. The furniture designs were unveiled at the Capsule showcase at Corso Como 10.

It features chairs, tables, and benches that are created using slabs of aluminum held together by industrial bolts. The Aged Form Line is made to "capture the enduring texture of concrete on the surface even after the repair process." It has a darker tonal look with imperfections on the surfaces. The New Form Line uses recycled aluminum that is finished with a more lustrous visual and smoother surfaces.
