Affordable Concrete Block Designs

Gus Wüstemann's Housing Concept is Located in Albisrieden

Albisrieden is a suburb in Zurich and the new site of an affordable concrete block. The low-cost housing project is completed by locally based architecture studio Gus Wüstemann.

The structure contains nine apartments and despite the harsh material use, the firm assured the interior of the living abodes receive ample influx of light. Combined with an open-concept layout and some privacy-oriented areas, Gus Wüstemann's affordable concrete block effortlessly satisfies the aesthetic and functional requirements of the contemporary living abode.

The silhouette of the structure is angular and stoic. The subtle motifs hint at Brutalist influences which are elegantly broken up by wood inserts in the form of window frames, doors, kitchen units and more.
