Braille-Integrated Furniture Designs

Debonademeo Designs the Aedo Collection for Adrenalina

The Aedo collection is designed by Debonademeo for Adrenalina with a focus on touch. The inclusive design was presented during Milan Design Week and it brings attention to the notion of 'seeing shape and color.' How does one capture its presence in the space?

Thus, during Salone del Mobile, attendees were encouraged to wear blindfolds and interact with the exhibition. The furniture was only meant to be perceived with a tactile sense. On the side, there are raised Braille inscriptions that tell more about the project's origins. The upholstered arm also defines a new element, as the information can be accessed by a simple brush from one's fingertips. In addition to this, the furniture is inviting, soft, and round.
